Two weeks ago I officially started training for my San Fran marathon in October. I’m using a pretty straight forward training plan from Hal Higdon. It’s running 4 days a week, cross training 1 day and 2 days rest. This is good for me because scheduling wise is not realistic for me to be running 6 days a week. So far I’ve been keeping up with my running whlie being in Ocean City. I get up early and get my run in before the humidity sets in. The downside is there aren’t really any hills around here which I do need to train on considering I will be running plenty in the race. But that will just have to wait for now. It feels good to have a schedule and be working toward this big day.
