Well it’s official we have a preschooler in the house. We are doing a preschool co-op with 3 other families from our church you each have one 4 year old. There are 3 rowdy boys and 1 sweet girl that make up our little preschool. We’ve only done 2 weeks (one day each) but so far the kids love it and us Moms are enjoying it to as we figure it out along the way. Our goal is to make it fun, flexible and a place to learn while they play. Mason loves it! You can tell he feels very important and BIG because “he goes to school now”. He’s a great listener and learner, which I already knew but fun to see in a different setting. The first morning was an adjustment for all of us so there we the expected melt downs from all 3 of my kids. But day #2 was much better for Mase and girls are still adjusting to other mommies watching them while their own Mommy is in the next room:) But it’s great because there are 2 other little girls close to their age to play with and so much of what we are trying to do with the BIG kids the little girls can do too.
I’m excited to be a part of Mason’s learning experience. To see him learn and try new things for the first time. To see him learn from others and teach others. To see him do well and to see him fail. I’m thankful that I can be there to celebrate with him and to comfort him when he needs it. I’m thankful I can be a part of laying a foundation for him that will prayerfully lead him to a life that glorifies God. This is a great adventure to be on!
