It has been a week since the time change and let me tell you it has been great! Wonderful changes have occurred in our family schedule due to just one hour difference.
- Mr. Barela and I are getting a extra 1-1 1/2 hours of sleep because the kiddos are sleeping in. We haven’t been meandering out to the kitchen till 7:30-8AM! This gives me time to have a quiet time or go for a run.
- Lunch is pushed back to noon therefore naps are pushed back till 1- 1:30. Before we were having our first snack of the day at 9AM and eating lunch at 11AM.
- Kids are taking longer naps because we have longer time to play harder in the morning.
- Dinner is pushed back as well. Kids aren’t at my heals at 4:30pm to eat dinner.
- We can play outside after dinner because the sun is still out and the kids are going to bed a little later. This makes the night go so much faster.
- It means spring and warm weather are coming!
It’s amazing how much just one hour of adjustment can do and the happiness and ease it brings 5 people. But when you run on a schedule like we do around here the time change means so much more than just one hour.
